
Greyton to McGregor overnight
An entry level two day hike in the South Western Cape region. The Boesmanskloof trail allows for easy hiking at a steady pace. the conditions under foot being less technical it offers the chance to take in the scenery as you move along. The trail is an out-and-back, with each direction per day. One direction is around 14 km (8.5 miles) taking ± 5 hours with an elevation gain of 1000m (2300 feet).

Arangieskop overnight hike
A challenging hike, largely uphill and through ravines Moving over foothills to reach the mountain slopes, you are welcomed by your refuge for the night which sits below the summit. The summit is 1678m above sea level and can be reached on the first or second day for the views. The full loop trail is around 24 km (15 miles) averaging ± 6 hours per day with an elevation gain of 1700m (5575 feet).

Otter Trail (subject to availability)
Arguably South Africa’s best 5-day hike. The trail is a coastal stretch from the Eastern Cape that crosses over into Western Cape at the formidable Bloukrans River. The hike offers a healthy mix of terrain, ranging from coastal forest, fynbos hillsides, rocky shores and the river crossings. Accommodation is in log cabins every night, which provides the opportunity for good rest and recovery before setting out each morning. Lighten your load with the ‘slack pack’ option and enjoy hiking without carrying your belongings each day. The total distance is around 40km and a total elevation gain of 2300m (7550 feet, averaging 460m (1500 feet) over ± 4 hours per day.
